11/9-11/13 Lesson Plans

Monday:

  1. SOAR (15): Read Literature: Tears of a Tiger or The Princess Bride; Turn in SignPost Journal and Mr. Rob will check your Disaster rough draft
  2. Peer Edit: 3 x 5 min. musical chair style peer edit with sticky note constructive criticism
  3. SBCs: Week 2-6

Tuesday: 13 Minute Stations: Get IPads and Essay Papers

  1. SOAR: Read assigned Newsela article and complete tracker
  2. Teacher Tech Check/SBCs: Week 2-6 and essay progress check
  3. MobyMax Assignment: Type Informational Essay into MobyMax Assignment or finish draft if not ready to type
  4. MobyMax: Reading Skills Informational: Key Ideas/Details

Wednesday: 13 Minute Stations: Get IPads and Essay Papers

  1. SOAR: Read Literature: Tears of a Tiger or The Princess Bride; complete at least 1 signpost entry and swap journals with a partner-Did they answer the QUESTION?
  2. SBCs: Week 5, Activity 1: America’s most popular food post. Be sure to comment on someone’s food post. Mr. Rob will be at this station.
  3. Type: Informational Essay into MobyMax Assignment. Be sure to proof it as you type and after.  Your punctuation and capitalization should be SPOT ON
  4. Reading Skills Informational: Key Ideas/Details. Get the lead in this competition while you’re practicing your text analysis skills.

Thursday:

  1. SOAR: Newsela article and quiz, complete Newsela tracker/article from Tuesday or start a new article
  2. SBCs: Start on Week 6 when finished with food post
  3. Type: Informational Essay into MobyMax Assignment. Be sure to proof it as you type and after.  Your punctuation and capitalization should be SPOT ON. When finished, post to your blog with PICs of the event.
  4. Reading Skills Informational: Key Ideas/Details (15 min.)

Friday:

  1. Library with Mrs. Fab. We will get our reading completed in the library.
  2. Finish typing essay into MobyMax; post on your blog with 3 pics; create power point with 6 slides
  3. SBCs: Week 6 (or finish your food post)
  4. Last 10 minutes, we’ll have a dance competition for classes that have 80% or more of their essays completed.
