  1. The quote would fit into the article which talks about building amusement parks in China because, you don’t know hiw much the amusement park is unil you know what parts to get to build it. Also, some Chinese people don’t know how expensive the amusement park is to build it.

  2. The reason this quote has something to do with the article is to tell the readers that until you see the process that something is made you don’t know how much it will cost like the Chinese wanting to build the theme parks and make money right now and you can’t do that. First you have the planning stage. Then you have to look at spending cost and labor cost and the amount of land that you have that you can physically use you have to get the ground tested and everything else and this is a very very long and patient process. This is what this quote has to do with the process of making a theme park and the quote is kinda like the words of the wiser.

  3. That saying fits for the story because they have to craft a design to see how much it cost like the sausage you need to know how to make to see what to sell it for.

  4. I think that quote meant not to judge something by how it looks. I think it goes with the Newsela article because the production of amusement parks costs a lot more than it looks. People making the amusement parks have to pay extraordinary amounts of money and work sometimes up to a year to make an amusement park that is both successful and safe.

  5. The quote “until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make that sausage” fits in the article because it’s telling you that people think it might be worth this much money but it really cost more because of the process of how it was made. In the article they’re spending billions of dollars to build this amusement park for china. They even have to make it more like China’s culture which may cost them a lot more then how much it cost to make one in America. That is how the quote fits in the article.

  6. The quote fits the article because it tells you to think about the cost of something before you try to make it. This ties in to the cost of the amusement parks in the article and the builders not knowing the cost try to build it to make Money. This a quote fits the article.

  7. I think the quote “Until you know his the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make it;” fits with the article because you can’t tell how successful the amusement park would. Be, or just how “amusing” it will be. Some people will be against it and some will be with it, but a lot of people might just be in between. You won’t know if the place will be successful and gain enough profit so you must take precautions to it all.

  8. The quote “until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make that sausage” fits into the article because it describes how the inexperience of the Chinese amusement park developers will cause them to pull out of some of the projects. It says in the article that “Some Chinese developers don’t realize how much it costs to build and maintain a theme park”. This means that because of their inexperience running theme parks, many developers will stop their projects after they realize the true cost of making the “sausage”, also known as the theme park.

  9. The quote “until you know how the sausage in made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make the sausage” fit with the building of Chinese amusement parks because the Chinese want more, more, and more while it is expensive for the companies to build all of those amusement parks. According to the article, ” Chinese developers don’t realize that is takes time to dream up, design and build a theme park. The quote goes with the evidence because the quote makes the point of Chinese don’t realize amusement parks take time and money.

  10. Josh Updike’s statement, “Until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make that sausage,” fits into an article about building amusement parks in China because Chinese companies want to hurry up the design process to start making money. American designers are becoming frustrated with this rush. The article says that, “Some Chinese developers don’t understand how much it costs to build and maintain a theme park.” The developers in China don’t realize the giant process that it takes to make a theme park. Josh Updike’s statement about sausages fits in the article because it simplifies the problem so that a normal person can understand.

  11. The quote ” Untill you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive that sausage is.” This means that until you untruth the truth of how the parks are made, you’ll never know what effort and time was put into the park. Parks can take up to 10 years to build. Sometimes they only look like it took them a year!

  12. The quote fits in with the article because the article describes how difficult it is to design Chinese theme parks. Josh Updike used sausage as a comparative element. The sausage we eat, like theme parks, has a lot of stuff in it to make it taste good to us. Similarly, theme parks need to have a lot of details kept in mind, such as the rules of feng shui. Less observant people will not appreciate these details of the park and sausage as much.

  13. The quote ” Until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is” works because you don’t know how worth our while the theme parks will be. Also you didn’t know how much it would cost to build them. Companies that want to make so many theme parks say most of them will probably never be built. It said in the story most of them will never be built so it doesn’t make sense to build so many of them. That is why the quote fits in the story.

  14. The quote ” until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make the sausage.” Is an example of how the Chinese people are just learning how to make the amusement parks ( the sausage ) and thinking it’s gonna make more money than they think it is and it’s not gonna take very long, when it’s gonna take maybe 5 or 7 or maybe 8 to do it and it’s gonna take over 45 million dollars to make it.

  15. The quote “until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make that sausage,” it is important to the article because it means that if you don’t try something how would you know that you like it. That is like me saying that I have never hade shrimp.
You could also go out of business if you spend too much of you business money $$$$$$$$$$

  16. The quote is reflecting the article because the amusement park planners are planning to build this amusement park not knowing how much it will cost to build, the part in the quote were it says “until the sausage is made, you don’t know how much it will cost to make that sausage” means that it is gonna be made but they don’t know how much it will cost to produce.

  17. The following quote,“Until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make that sausage,” fits into the article about building parks in China because,it says they need to know what they are building first to find a price of it. Also as stated in the text “The company is working on several other projects in China and Asia.” This quote provides on how they need to have the total cost of not only one ,but all of the costs of the amusement parks.

  18. The quote,“Until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make that sausage.” fits in the article because Chinese companies want to hurry up the design process to start making money, but they don’t understand how hard it is to create an amusement park. Chinese people just want it done. American designers are becoming frustrated with this rush. The article says that, “Some Chinese developers don’t understand how much it costs to build and maintain a theme park.” The American designers do so that’s why they get so frustrated and refer back to that quote because the Chinese don’t understand how much effort, time, and money it takes. Just like the sausage, the sausage is lots of work. It takes lots of money and time.

  19. R-Why does the quote fit the article.
A-you never know how much the material is until you actually use it. Chinese don’t know how much it will cost till you build it.
C-it took $17 million to design the theme park in china(materials) Chinese developers spend nearly $24 billion on the theme park.
E-you never know if you go over budget,or run out of money and not process the materials

  20. The quote, “Until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make that sausage” fits into the article because, Until you know how the park is made you don’t know how expensive it is to make that park. According to the article, “American design firms can make $500,000 to $7 million dollars to plan an amusement park. More detailed construction plans to cost up to $15 million dollars, industry experts estimate.” You may see how this can relate but if you don’t let me explain, you don’t know how the sausage is made refers to, American design firms making $500,00 to $7 million dollars to PLAN an amusement park. You don’t know how expensive it is to make that sausage refers to, More detailed construction plans to cost up to $15 million, industry experts estimate.

  21. What I thought about the article is that when the immigrants changed America, but America changed them. Like when Glen Bell invented the taco and discovered the Taco Bell. Or when the German brought the hamburger to the U.S. And it was nasty and then we cleaned it up and put in restraunts.

  22. The quote “Until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make that sausage,” said Josh Updike. Fits in the article because it say that Chinese companies are hurrying the process of building there amusement park to make money, but Chinese companies don’t know how much it really cost. In the article it states “Chinese developers, for example, don’t realize it takes years to dream up, design and build a theme park. Many are in a rush to complete the projects to they can start making money”. The article also states “A lot of them have never done this before,China doesn’t have a 50-year history of theme park operations. But many projects will never be built. Some Chinese developers don’t understand how much it costs to build and maintain a theme park. All the quote just says Chinese are building there amusement faster just to make money, but the don’t know how much money it will cost in the end.

  23. The quote “until you know how the sausage is made, you don’t know how expensive it is to make that sausage” fits the article because until they know how much it is going to cost to build the amusement park until they know what they have to do to build the amusement park. The article says ” a lot of them have never done this before” shows that they need to know what it takes to build the amusement park, which also shows they would need to know the price, just like the quote.
